(Object :nesne, Pronoun :zamir anlamına gelir.)

Cümlede nesne konumundaki isimlerin yerine kullanılan zamirlere, “Nesne Zamiri” yani “Object Pronoun” denir. Nesne, bir eylemin yada bir edatın nesnesi olabilir.

Bir eylem (go, do, paint, vb.) yada bir edat (in, on, under, at, from vb.) gibi kelimelerden sonra bir zamir kullanılması gerekiyorsa, aşağıdaki listeden uygun “nesne zamiri” seçilerek kullanılır.

Can you see me and my friend?        Beni ve arkadaşımı görebiliyor musun?

Do you know him.                              O’nu tanıyor mu musun?

Do you know Ayşe.                            Ayşe’yi tanıyor musun?

Do you know her.                               O’nu tanıyor mu musun?

Can you see the dog.                          Köpeği görebiliyor musun?

Can you see it.                                    O’nu görebiliyor usun?

Can you see the dogs.                        Köpekleri görebiliyor musun?

Can you see them.                              Onları görebiliyor usun?

Ali will paint the room.                        Ali, odayı boyayacak.

Ali will paint it.                                    Ali, o’nu boyayacak.

Ali will paint the houses.                     Ali, evleri boyayacak

Ali will paint them.                              Ali, onları boyayacak.

The doctors examines the people.       Doktorlar, insanları muayene ederler.

Edat (preposition) nesnesi olan zamirler                                                             

The cats are in the box.                       (Kediler, kutunun içindedirler.)

Burada “in” bir edattır. “the box” ise, bu edatın nesnesidir.

The cats are in it.                                 (Kediler, onun içindedirler.)

Burada “it” nesne zamiri, “the box" yerine kullanılmıştır.

The cats are in the boxes.                   Kediler, kutuların içindedirler.

The cats are in them.                           Kediler, onların içindedirler.

The air-plane is over the clouds.         (Uçak, bulutların üzerindedir)

The air-plane is over them.                  (Uçak, onların üzerindedir)

This letter is from your mother.           (Bu mektup, annenden)

This letter is from her.                          (Bu mektup, ondan)

This flower is from your boyfriend.     (Bu çiçek, senin arkadaşından)

This letter is from him.                          (Bu çiçek, ondan)

Don’t be afraid of I and my friend.     (Benden ve arkadaşımdan korkma)

Don’t be afraid of us.                            (Bizden korkma)
