PASSIVE VOICE

(Edilgen Cümle Yapısı)

İşi yapan kişi belli değilse, yada, önemli değilse,

o zaman, aktif (etken) cümle yapısı yerine, edilgen cümle yapısı kullanılarak, eylem anlatılır.

I can speak English. (Ben İngilizce konuşabilirim.)

cümlesinde, işi yapan kişi, "I", cümlenin başındadır. daha sonra yardımcı fiil "can", daha sonra da eylem "speak" gelmiştir.

Bu tür dizilişe sahip cümlelere , active (etken) cümle denir.

Bu cümlede eylemin nesnesi "English" kelimesidir.

Cümlede nesneyi bulmak için, eyleme, "neyi, kimi" sorularını sorarız. Bu sorulara verilen cevap olarak verilen kelime "nesne"dir.

Nesne; "insan, eşya, hayvan, vb. her şey" olabilir.

I can speak English. (Ben İngilizce konuşabilirim.)

What can you speak? (Neyi konuşabilirsin?) ..... cevap ...." English"... O zaman, bu cümlenin nesnesi "English" kelimesidir.

Başka bir örneği inceleyelim.

--I can swim in the pool. (Ben, havuzda yüzebilirim.)

What can you swim? (Neyi yüzebilirsin?) ..... bu sorunun cevabı, cümlede yoktur. Bu nedenle, bu cümlenin nesnesi yoktur.

Where can you swim? (Nerede yüzebilirsin?) ... bu sorunun cevabı, "in the pool" (havuzda) kelimesidir, bu bir nesne değildir. yer zarfıdır.

-- I can clean the pool. (Havuzu temizleyebilirim.)

What can you clean? (Neyi temizleyebilirsin?) .... bu sorunun cevabı..."the pool"...(havuzu)... olacaktır. Burada nesne "the pool" kelimesidir.)

-- I can see Ali? (Ali'yi görebiliyorum.)

Who can you see? (Kimi görebiliyorsun?) .... bu sorunun cevabı "Ali"dir.... O halde, bu cümlenin nesnesi "Ali" dir.

Nesnenin bulunması, neden bu kadar önemlidir???

Çünkü, passive voice (edilgen cümle) çatısını kurabilmek için, "nesne"nin cümle başına getirilmesi gerekir.

Passive voice (edilgen Çatı) nın iki temel cümle yapısı vardır.

1. Simple Tenses (Basit Zamanlar) ın edilgen çatısı, (Nesne + be + V3)

2. Continuous Tenses (Sürekli Zamanlar) ın edilgen çatısı (Nesne + be + being + V3)

Nesne cümlenin başına konur, sonra

Hangi Zamanın edilgen çatısı yapılacaksa, "be" fiili, o zamana çekimlenir,

sonra da eylemin üçüncü hali (past participle) hali kullanılır.

O halde, edilgen çatıyı oluşturmak için, "be" fiilinin hallerini ve fiillerin üçüncü hallerinin bilinmesi gerekmektedir.

Aşağıda, "be" fiilinin çeşitli zamanlara çekimlenmiş halleri verilmiştir.

Yukarıdaki tabloya dikkat edilirse, basit zamanların edilgen çatısında, (nesne + be + ving) kullanıldığı halde,

Sürekli zamanlarda, cümleye, "being" kelimesi ilave edilmektedir. Tek fark budur. "Being" kelimesi ile, "be" kelimesi birbirlerinden

ayrıdır. Birbirlerinin yerine geçmezler.

3. Active : They must clean the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizlemelidirler.)

Passive : The pool will be cleaned. (Havuz temizlenmelidir.)

4. Active : They clean the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizlerler.)

Passive : The pool is cleaned. (Havuz temizlenir.)

5. Active : They cleaned the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizlediler.)

Passive : The pool was cleaned. (Havuz temizlendi.)

6. Active : They have cleaned the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizlediler.)

Passive : The pool has been cleaned. (Havuz temizlendi.)

7. Active : They had cleaned the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizlemişlerdi.)

Passive : The pool had been cleaned. (Havuz temizlenmişti.)

8. Active : They had cleaned the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizlemişlerdi.)

2. Continuous Tenses (Sürekli Zamanlar) ın edilgen çatısı, Nesne + be + being + V3

1. Active : They can be cleaning the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizliyor olabilirler.)

Passive : The pool can be being cleaned. (Havuz temizleniyor olabilir.)

Passive : The pool can be being cleaned by them. (Havuz, onlar tarafından, temizleniyor olabilir.)

2. Active : They will be cleaning the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizleyor olacaklar.)

Passive : The pool will be being cleaned. (Havuz temizleniyor olacak.)

3. Active : They must be cleaning the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizliyor olmalılar.)

Passive : The pool will be being cleaned. (Havuz temizleniyor olmalı.)

4. Active : They are cleaning the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizliyorlar.)

Passive : The pool is being cleaned. (Havuz temizleniyor.)

5. Active : They were cleaning the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizliyorlardı.)

Passive : The pool was being cleaned. (Havuz temizleniyordu.)

6. Active : They have been cleaning the pool. (Onlar havuzu temizlemektedirler.)

Passive : The pool has been being cleaned. (Havuz temizlenmektedir.)
